    About the Role

    As the Contracts & Procurement Manager at Iglu, you will play a pivotal role in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of our procurement processes. Your expertise will ensure that every procurement decision aligns with Iglu’s high standards of quality and value for money, supporting the long-term success of our properties and operations.

    Job Tasks and Responsibilities

    • 3-4 days per week (between Monday through Friday)
    • Developing and implementing procurement strategies to enhance efficiency and compliance.
    • Maximising value for money and identifying operational cost savings.
    • Preparation of tender and request for quotation documentation including scope of works for various services.
    • Overseeing the procurement process, ensuring that all goods and services purchased meet the organisation’s standards for quality and value for money.
    • Evaluating and selecting suppliers, negotiating contracts, and conducting value-for-money assessments to ensure optimal use of resources.
    • Administration of all service agreements and supplier contracts.
    • Maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, understanding their needs and providing procurement support and advice.

    Skills and Experience

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement or contract management.
    • Experience in property, facilities, or construction industry is essential.
    • Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and build strong working relationships.
    • Strong influencing skills to effectively manage stakeholder relationships and negotiate favourable contract terms.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices and market trends.
    • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate data and make informed decisions.
    • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite

    Qualifications

    • Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
    • Desirable: Professional certification in procurement

  • About the role

    Corporate Development is a newly established team within Iglu, focused on developing and refining Iglu’s overall strategic direction. Subsequently, an opportunity for a Senior Investment Analyst has arisen to become one of the founding members of this team. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Corporate Development to evaluate initiatives in adjacent sectors, identify and assess potential student accommodation acquisitions, and collaborate with existing and new investors to fund these initiatives.

    What you will do

    The tasks include, but are not limited to:

    • Supporting the Head of Corporate Development with acquisition opportunities, including building financial models, undertaking due diligence, negotiation of commercial terms and documentation, and preparation of investment approval papers.
    • Preparation of materials for existing and potential new investors.
    • Assisting the Head of Corporate Development with commercial negotiations and documentation for new investors.
    • Researching and documenting market conditions across Australian living sectors, including current market dynamics, major participants and tax landscape.
    • Supporting the Development team as required to assess development opportunities.

    What you will need

    • 5+ years’ experience covering, financial analysis including income and cash flow modelling, and exposure to real estate investment, valuations, and research experience preferred
    • Relevant experience in the following preferred, property investment fund, property developer, real estate services, superannuation fund, in the property team, financial analysis services; or big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm.
    • Strong and/or keen interest in best practice financial modelling
    • Developing commercial and negotiation skills.
    • Genuine interest in real estate and capital markets, with curiosity to learn further
    • Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills
    • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including preparation of PowerPoint presentations
    • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
    • High accountability, drive, and commitment
    • High attention to detail
